Chocolate Protein Scones - Low Calorie, Sugar Free!

    Just amazingly soft Chocolate Protein Scones made with a load of protein powder and actually sugar free! These healthy chocolate scones are protein packed, low calorie, and are pretty much dessert!

    Chocolate Drizzle:

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. In a large bowl, combine flour, chocolate protein powder, unflavored protein powder, coconut flour, cocoa powder, sweetener and baking powder.

    3. Add yogurt and pull together with spoon/spatula to make dough crumbles.

    4. Use hands to bring together.

      Knead the ONLY LITTLE till it comes together. Dough should be slightly wet, not ‘knead-able’.

    5. DO NOT OVER-KNEAD or scones will be tough and not crumbly.

    6. Transfer to parchment lined baking sheet and shape (gently) into circle about ¾-1” thick.

    7. Use pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut into 6 scones.

      Space out cut scones.

    8. Place in fridge for about 10-15 mins.

    9. Brush tops with almond milk.

      Bake for 20-22 minutes until outsides are crusty and still soft to touch. Toothpick inserted into center should come out clean.

      Let cool.

    Chocolate Drizzle:

    1. Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a large microwave safe bowl and microwave about 45 seconds, stirring halfway, until completely melted.

    2. Allow to cool slightly then drizzle on scones.
