Turtle Protein Bars

    Ooey-gooey Turtle Protein Bars with layers of a caramel-y base, caramel, pecans and chocolate frosting, but all high protein and low sugar! Healthy chocolate caramel pecan turtle bars to satisfy those cravings.

    Base:

    Protein Caramel + Pecans:

    Chocolate Frosting:

    1. Grease an 8 x 8” pan or line with parchment paper; leave an overhang to lift out later.

      Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Base:

    1. In a bowl, combine rolled oats, vanilla protein powder, unflavored protein powder, oat flour, almond butter powder and baking powder.

    2. Add in almond butter, yogurt, applesauce and almond milk (little at a time) and mix.

      Mixture should be thick but spreadable.

    3. Transfer to prepared pan and press down.

    4. Bake for 15-17 minutes, then let cool completely about 20 minutes.

    Protein Caramel + Pecans:

    1. In same bowl, stir together almond butter powder, protein powder.

    2. Add caramel syrup, almond butter and water (1 tsp at a time) and mix.

    3. Spread on top of base layer and use back of spoon to smoothen.

    4. Spread chopped pecans on top and lightly press down.

    Chocolate Frosting:

    1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, protein powder and cocoa powder.

      Spread over base.

    2. Slice into 12 bars.
